1. Since July 2000 we have a new course about
Renewable Energies in general:
CPE 809
it deals about wind power, solar power, biomass
energy use
and distribution, greenhouse effect etc.
2. Course Photovoltaic Systems is structured as follows:
Intoduction (Energy, solar radiation,
diffuse vs. direct radiation, measurement)
Practica 1 (Basics of PV-module,
characteristics, MPP)
Practica 2 (PV-module, irradiance,
temperature effects)
Practica 3 (Lead-acid battery,
characteristics, charging, discharging)
Annex to Practicas 1-3
